FCIAC Quarterfinals

Bridgeport Central 62, St. Joseph 58

At Fairfield Ludlowe, Central shocked St. Joseph 62-58 in the FCIAC quarterfinals. It's the first loss of the season for the top seed and No. 1 state-ranked Cadets. St. Joseph lost in the quarterfinal round last year despite being the top seed as well.

Bassick 72, Westhill 59

At Fairfield Ludlowe, No. 4 Bassick pulled away from No. 5 Westhill in the fourth quarter to secure the victory. The Lions led just 41-39 heading into the final frame before Bassick exploded. Demetrious Thomas led Bassick with 27 points in the victory. Chris Walters dropped 34 points for Westhill but it wasn't enough.

Trinity Catholic 62, Danbury 56

At Fairfield Ludlowe, No. 2 Trinity Catholic pulled away from No. 7 Danbury in the fourth quarter behind big plays from Kevin Leumene and Jason Boswell. The Crusaders led just 44-42 after three quarters before opening up a 9-point lead late in the fourth.

Ridgefield 50, Stamford 46

At Fairfield Ludlowe, No. 3 Ridgefield held off a hard-charging Stamford squad 50-46. Ridgefield opened up a 13 point lead on No. 6 Stamford in the fourth quarter before the Knights stormed back with a barrage of 3-pointers. Clutch free throws by Jeff Racy secured the victory for the Tigers.
