The Blue Wave is back in its groove as it cruised through Ludlowe, Staples and New Canaan. Erika Osherow is as dangerous as any pitcher in the region and has pitched multiple no-hitters this year, while Rebecca DeMaio and Lexi LoPiano have also come up big.
Great week for the defending Connecticut Class S champions as they beat good Northwestern, Shepaug Valley and Nonnewaug teams. Morgan Sanson, Alexa Milius, Jensyn Cleveland and Nina Barone have the Golden Bears the clear favorites to repeat in Class S.
The Crusaders fell 5-2 to Mercy, but beat Daniel Hand and North Haven. Alexa Dawid, Lindsey Spitz and Jaclyn Brewster will look to lead Lauralton Hall into the final week of the regular season.
The Spartans fell to undefeated Cheshire for their third straight loss, but responded with wins against North Haven and Daniel Hand. Katie Koshes, Morgan Perry and Jenna Dilorenzo will look to get Amity back on track heading into the postseason.
The Red Raiders were rolling and after wins over Sacred Heart, Wolcott and Naugatuck, but fell 5-4 to Watertown, ending a six-game winning streak. Ali DuBois and UConn-bound Marissa Morris are the clear leaders for Torrington heading into the postseason, while Brittany Anderson and Brittany Young have also played well.
Great week for the Vikings who knocked off Ridgefield, Brien McMahon, Seymour and Ludlowe this week. Casey Decine, Kaira Ramon, Edyliese Aquino, Adrianna Gambino, Juliana Tarzia, Adrianna Gambino and Jordan Benzaken will look to end the regular season with a win over Staples.
The Tigers fell 9-4 to Westhill, but responded with a strong win over Westhill. Kailey Westington, Gwendolyn Ellis and Kayleen Walter will have to play well with Darien and Brien McMahon lying ahead.
The Bears lost to Newtown 8-2, but beat Wilton and Bassick to get back on track. Ali Brown can do it all, while Dina DiBlasio, Allie Hall, Sam Troetti, Jessica Otto, Leslie Garcia and Katie Sciglimpaglia have been strong this season.
The Black Knights return to the rankings with wins over Harding and Ludlowe and a very good 3-2 win over Trumbull. Maddie Santora and Sarah Staley have played well for Stamford. Trumbull, Danbury, Warde, Fairfield Ludlowe, Joel Barlow, Kolbe Cathedral and Jonathan Law are on the bubble.
