The Cadets showed their dominance again, cruising past Ridgefield, Greenwich, Newtown and Brien McMahon to remain the only undefeated Class M team in Connecticut. Nicole Williams could be the top pitcher in the FCIAC, while Madeline Meier and Hannah Hutchinson are swinging the bat well.
The Spartans got back on track, knocking off Shelton, West Haven and Lyman Hall in blowouts. Katie Koshes, Morgan Perry and Jenna Dilorenzo have helped lead Amity half way through a tough seven-game road stretch.
The Crusaders rolled through West Haven, Shelton and Sacred Heart Academy for their fourth straight win. Alexa Dawid and Lindsey Spitz are the clear leaders for Lauralton Hall while Jaclyn Brewster, Kaitlyn Mingione and Ireland Miessau are also playing well.
The Golden Bears, the defending Connecticut Class S champions, picked up solid wins over Nonnewaug and Holy Cross and cruised by Gilbert. Junior pitcher Morgan Sanson, Alexa Milius, Jensyn Cleveland have and Nina Barone have played well.
Big wins over Fairfield Ludlowe, Harding and Staples have the Eagles on a seven-game winning streak. Harleigh Kaczegowicz, Samantha Platz, Taylor Brown and Lea Thompson have been sparks during the run.
The Black Knights notched two massive wins, defeating Fairfield Warde 3-0 and Darien 2-1. Maddie Santora and Sarah Staley have consistently lead the way, while with Tori Cuscuna, Lauren O’Neill and Maria Zecena had good weeks.
Tough week for the Blue Wave as it fell to Stamford 2-1 after beating Trinity Catholic and Brien McMahon. Captains Erika Osherow, Rebecca DeMaio, Kelly Vodola and Avery Maley will look to turn things around if Darien wants to take the FCIAC.
The Red Raiders have been consistent and are quietly waiting their time. They beat Watertown, Wolcott and Naugatuck this past week. Ali DuBois has continued to pitch well, while UConn-bound Marissa Morris is as good as they come behind the plate.
The Tigers vault into the lineup with wins over Staples and Fairfield Warde. Kailey Westington, Gwendolyn Ellis and Kayleen Walter have played well for Ridgefield.
Rough week for the Mustangs, who beat Greenwich but fell to Stamford and Ridgefield. Gabriella Natoli is performing well on both sides of the ball, while Brianna West, Shannon McCarthy and Kayla Bivens continue their strong play. Westhill, Fairfield Ludlowe, Kolbe Cathedral, Danbury and Norwalk are on the bubble.
