Tuckahoe 70, Haldane 44

Unbeaten Tuckahoe started slowly against No. 4 Haldane during the Class C semifinal. But Sky Williams took over late, opening up a hefty lead for the top-seeded Tigers. Williams finished with 25 points and eight rebounds. Haldane made a run in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 42-37, but Justin Nolan (13 points, 3 steals) made one of many hustle plays on evening to end the third quarter. Nolan stole a sure rebound with two seconds left, spun and hit a 3-pointer as the buzzer sounded to give Tuckahoe some breathing room to start the final period.

Haldane's Will Hoffman had 18 points for the Blue Devils in the loss, but fouled out in the second half along with two other Haldane starters.

Tuckahoe turned up the defensive pressure with Nolan, Williams, and Shyheim Nixon (15 points, 8 rebounds) to pull away.

Tuckahoe will face No. 2 Children's Village at 2 p.m. on Saturday in the Section 1 Class C championship game. The Tigers are looking to win their second straight title and to close out an undefeated season within Section 1 before the state playoffs.

Children's Village 46, Keio 35 OT

Children's Village survived a fourth-quarter Keio comeback to advance to the Section 1 Class C championship game. Children's Village led by seven points late in the fourth but Fumaiki Kobayashi hit three straight 3-pointers to give Keio a 33-31 lead with 15.9 seconds in regulation. Kareem Padgett missed a runner in the closing seconds, but Roger Owens' putback sent the game into overtime.

In overtime Owens played hero again, scoring six points to seal the win. Owens finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds while Padgeet and Andre Jones each added eight points. Anthony Trotter had seven points, seven rebounds and five steals.

Kobayashi finished with 17 points and Shimpei Konto, Haruyoshi Karube and Yutari Yamashita each added six points.

Children's Village will play Tuckahoe in the championship game Saturday at 2 p.m.
