Make it six in a row for the Flaming Arrows.

Kathleen Everson shared the team lead in points with 12 on the night as Sachem East won its sixth game in a row with a 47-34 win over Brentwood Thursday night from Sachem East High School on senior night.

Emily Carmel, one of the four seniors honored by the Flaming Arrows during a pregame ceremony, hit three clutch three-pointers in the fourth quarter in what was a defensive struggle for the first three periods.

Sachem East jumped out to a quick 8-0 lead following the opening tip. However the scoring throughout much of the game would be at a premium.

The Flaming Arrows only mustered two more points in the first quarter as they took a 10-4 lead heading into the first break. Second period was much more of the previous stanza as both teams could only muster nine points combined between each other, ending the first half with a 16-7 Flaming Arrows lead.

Following a very even third quarter in which both teams exchanged basket-for-basket, the floodgates opened up. Sachem East and Brentwood combined for one less point than both squads did in the previous three quarters as the Flamings Arrows outscored the Indians 21-19 in the final frame and hold on for a 47-34 victory.

Brentwood's Alexa Douglas led all shooters on the floor with 17 points in the loss.
