1. St. Anthony’s (15-0 CHSHL, 17-0 overall)

Is there any team that can stop St. Anthony’s right now? Since we last checked in with our weekly power rankings, the Friars downed Chaminade, Fordham Prep, Iona Prep and St. Joseph by the Sea by a combined score of 28-4. The Friars have two more games in the regular season, starting with a non-league contest against Portledge.

Next: Portledge at Dix Hills Ice Rink (Wednesday, 3:30 p.m.)

2. Connetquot/Sayville (19-1)

The T-Birds wrapped up a successful regular season by securing the number one spot in the SCHSHL with a 9-1 victory over the St. Anthony’s Suffolk squad. They’ll be the team to beat in Suffolk County and have a first round matchup against St. John the Baptist tomorrow night.

Next: St. John the Baptist (SCHSHL quarterfinals) at The Rinx (Wednesday, 7:30 p.m.)

3. Smithtown/Hauppauge (19-1)

Smithtown did its best to quell its goals against total by allowing only four goals in four games, however earning the second seed isn’t that shabby either. The Bulls will get ready to meet West Islip in the quarterfinals Wednesday night.

Next: West Islip (SCHSHL quarterfinals) at The Rinx (Wednesday, 7:50 p.m.)

4. Long Beach (15-4-1)

The Marines looked to have an easy victory locked up as they held a 7-1 lead over Syosset with just a period and a half remaining. However, the Braves fought back to force a 7-7 draw. The Marines did enough to erase the bad taste from their mouths with a 4-2 win over Massapequa on Tuesday.

Next: Bethpage at Bethpage Ice Rink (Wednesday, 9:00 p.m.)

5. Syosset (14-4-1)

Syosset showed some impressive resiliency, down six goals to force a tie with rival Long Beach. They then followed it up with wins over Bethpage and Bellmore-Merrick by a combined score of 16-3. The Braves have two more games in the regular season, starting with Massapequa. Two wins means the top spot in the Michelino playoffs.

Next: Massapequa at Bethpage Ice Rink (Tuesday, 9:15 p.m.)

6. St. Joseph by the Sea (7-7-2)

The Vikings swept the regular-season series with archrival Monsignor Farrell and clinched a berth in the CHSHL Class A playoffs with a 3-0 win against Fordham Prep. On Monday, Sea lost to Anthony’s 6-1. But then again, who hasn’t lost to the Friars this year?

Next: CHSHL Class A semifinals (opponent TBD) (Feburary 18, time TBD)

7. Massapequa (14-5-1)

The Chiefs saw both ends of the spectrum this week starting with a 19-2 drubbing of Great Neck. Massapequa erupted for 10 goals in the second period alone, highlighted by a four-goal performance by Nick Mangone. Three nights later, the Chiefs fell to Long Beach in a potential playoff matchup, 4-2.

Next: Syosset at Bethpage Ice Rink (Tuesday, 9:15 p.m.)

8. Kings Park/Commack (13-6-1)

The Cougars had an impressive end to the regular season by rattling off six straight wins to earn themselves the number three seed in the Suffolk league. They'll meet East Islip in the quarterfinals, a team which they've had success against this season by going 1-0-1 head-to-head.

Next: East Islip (SCHSHL quarterfinals) at The Rinx (Wednesday, 9:00 p.m.)

9. Chaminade (6-5-4)

Chaminade doesn't have to worry about playing St. Anthony's in the regular season anymore and are putting its efforts into making the post-season. The Flyers will need to win against Fordham Prep Friday night to make sure that happens.

Next: Fordham Prep at Playland Ice Casino (Friday, 5:15 p.m.)

10. Monsignor Farrell (6-6-3)

The Lions did themselves no favors with a 4-1 loss to St. Joseph by the Sea last week. A 6-4 victory against Iona Prep was cirtical, but it remains to be seen if it was enough to send Farrell into the playoffs.

Next: St. Anthony's at Abe Stark Rink (Friday, 7:00 p.m.)
