1. Smithtown (15-0)

After a two-week layoff the Bulls picked up where they left off, with an 8-4 win over Kings Park/Commack on Monday night. Brian Masi and Nick Ambery led the Bulls with two goals each as Smithtown remained undefeated heading into the break. Smithtown will return with a marquee matchup on January 9 as they will face off with Connetquot/Sayville in a game that will most likely decide first place in Suffolk.

2. St. Anthony’s (CHSHL 5-0)

The Friars continue to run roughshod in the Catholic League after an easy 10-3 victory over St. Mary’s. They will face a big test Wednesday afternoon in a cross-region battle against New Jersey’s St. Peter’s Prep at the AmeriHealth Pavillion at Prudential Center.

3. Connetquot/Sayville (12-1)

The T-Birds remain in the third spot this week after a solid 5-1 victory over East Islip. The victory assured the combined crew of a playoff spot heading into the holiday break.

4. Long Beach (9-3)

After a slipping a few spots two weeks ago, the Marines have slowly found its way back up following two wins against Jericho and East Williston heading into the holiday break.

5. Monsignor Farrell (3-1-1)

Vin DiMare scored four goals to help lead the Lions to a 9-5 win over Fordham Prep Saturday night at Abe Stark Rink

Next: St. Joseph by the Sea @ Staten Island Pavilion (Thursday, 8:00 p.m.)

6. Oceanside (10-3-1)

The Sailors made a big dent on this week’s power rankings by upsetting previously No. 2-ranked Syosset Friday night, 7-4. The Oceanside defense was able to shut down dynamic Corey Hoffman to just one goal, which came on a penalty shot. They followed it up with a 14-4 win over Bethpage Sunday night as they head into the holiday break

Next: Bellmore/Merrick @ Long Beach Ice Arena (January 15, 6:30 p.m.)

7. Syosset (7-1)

The Braves slipped following a loss to Oceanside on Friday night. Corey Hoffman was held to just a goal in the loss. However they got back on the winning track two days later with a 16-4 win over Cold Spring Harbor. Hoffman has extended his Long Island scoring lead with 24 goals and 24 assists in just eight games.

8. Chaminade (3-1-1)

The Flyers edged out Fordham Prep 2-1 on Wednesday night as they make their debut in the power rankings.

9. East Williston (9-1-2)

East Williston fell to Long Beach Monday night at the Long Beach Ice Arena, but it wasn’t enough to keep them out of our weekly power rankings

Next: Massapequa @ Bethpage Ice Rink (Wednesday, 7:15 p.m.)


10. St. Joseph by the Sea (0-2-2)

After being idle this week, the Vikings will take on archrival Monsignor Farrell in a highly anticipated meeting at the Staten Island Skating Pavilion Thursday
