Bellport trio puts ink to paper

A trio of Bellport stars have made their college choices official.

Quarterback Justin Honce signed his letter of intent to Brown University. Honce was named the National Football Foundation's Suffolk top scholar-athlete. He holds a 96 GPA, was an Academic All-Division selection and is a member of the National Honor Society.

Honce finished second in voting to Sayville's Steven Ferreira for the Boomer Esaison Award, given to the most outstanding quarterback in Suffolk County.

Boys soccer player Eddie Gibbons signed with the College of Holy Cross. Gibbons finished the 2011 season with 8 goals and 3 assists, while leading the Clippers to a 7-7-2 overall record.

Girls soccer player Bianca Lastra made her commitment official to Adelphi University.
