Kevin Lindley had seven goals and one assist, Logan McGovern had four goals and two assists, Brian Minicus had two goals and two assists and Ryan Cornell made 12 saves in a 16-3 win over Cheshire in the CIAC Class L title game. Eddie Munoz scored three goals in 34 seconds and Matt Grillo scored three times, including the tying goal with eight seconds left in regulation and the winner with one second left in overtime on his 17th birthday, to cap a stunning comeback from a 9-5 deficit as the Patriots beat Pittsford, 10-9, to win a ninth New York State Class A title. A double-overtime win over Garden City meant the Huskers would play on the final day of the New York State lacrosse season for the third time in the last four years. Yorktown fell in the Class B final for a second straight year, losing to Victor, 9-3. Junior Griffin Westlin recorded 57 goals and 46 assists and senior Brian Tevlin produced 43 goals and a school-record 55 assists for the Pirates, which got plenty of that firepower in the final weeks as the Pirates won eight of their final nine games.
