The Hilltoppers took their first loss of the year but it came at the hands of St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes, a Virginia powerhouse. Summit kept it close behind four goals from Sara Syznal and three from Catherine Cordrey but they came up on the short end of a 13-10 final score. Summit responded with a 20-5 win on the road at West Essex. Next: vs. Glen Ridge (May 10, 4 p.m.)

Lakers had a week for the ages and really showed what they’re made of with three big wins over Kinnelon, Oak Knoll and Villa Walsh. Grainger Rosati singlehandedly outscored the Royals with four goals in the 8-3 win and the Lakers outstanding defensive play continued with a 15-0 win over Villa Walsh over the weekend.
